If you think this is gross imagine what it looked like over the last few weeks. It is a mere 4" incision. My first physical therapy appointment was today. It will be a lot of work. For now all exercises on the arm will be passive - meaning my good arm will do the work on the bad arm. That will be the case, I think, for about 4 weeks. Then we shall see.
